To help you prepare for your installation and make the most of your connection, please refer to this guide and install the recommended apps to optimize your online experience.

Before the installation

Please plan on having an authorized adult 18 or over be present at the location during the entire installation process. To ensure a seamless installation process, it’s a great idea to prepare your home in advance.

Router Placement

During the installation process, you and the technician will discuss the ideal placement for your router. They’ll work with you to make sure it’s strategically located for maximum coverage. Feel free to share any specific requirements you have. The router will need to be connected to a power source, so it’s essential to have accessible power outlets in the chosen location.  

On the day of installation, our dedicated technician will work closely with you. They’ll tour your home, discuss your preferences, and together, you’ll decide on the best router placement to optimize your BBT Internet experience.

Installation Day

It’s installation day and the day you get to experience fast and reliable internet from BBT! In order to maximize your experience, here’s what to anticipate.

Technician Arrival: On your scheduled installation day, our friendly technician will arrive promptly at your home. They’ll bring the necessary equipment and expertise to get you connected to BBT Internet. Use this time to help the technician locate the areas in your house where you will use internet.

Router Placement: During the installation process, you and the technician will discuss the ideal placement for your router. They’ll work with you to make sure it’s strategically located for maximum coverage. Feel free to share any specific requirements you have. The router and other BBT equipment require at least two (2) power outlets.

Command IQ App: To make the most of your BBT Fiber Internet experience, we recommend downloading the Command IQ app before the technician’s arrival. This user-friendly app allows you to manage your network and connected devices easily. Download Command IQ in our Customer Center by clicking here.

BBT eBill App: It’s easy to pay your bill online. Our BBT eBill App allows you access to additional tools to help you manage your account.

Questions and Assistance: While the technician is on-site, it’s the perfect time to ask any questions you may have about setting up and optimizing your BBT Internet. They’re there to help you, so, don’t hesitate to seek guidance.
