Who is BBT Lite for?
BBT Lite is perfect for everyday users — families, students, renters, and retirees — who need reliable internet for streaming, homework, browsing, and staying connected without paying for advanced features they may not need.

What does “unmanaged router” mean?
An unmanaged router is provided at no additional cost, but BBT does not manage or monitor it remotely. This means you’re responsible for Wi-Fi network setup and in-home device connections. Our team will make sure your service is working when installed but cannot provide technical support for router configuration or in-home networking issues.
What are the requirements for this plan?
To qualify for the promotional rate, you must:
- Be enrolled in Auto Pay
- Use paperless (web-only) billing
- $100 Installation Fee
Are there any hidden fees or taxes?
There are no hidden fees, but applicable taxes and regulatory charges may apply depending on your location, plus a $100 installation fee is necessary.
What happens after the 24-month promotional period?
After 24 months, your service will automatically continue at BBT’s standard rate in effect at that time. You’ll be notified before any price change takes effect.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade to a higher-tier BBT plan at any time — such as Smart Home or Work & Play — for faster speeds, advanced router management, and CommandIQ features.
Does BBT Lite include CommandIQ or managed Wi-Fi?
No. CommandIQ network management and synchronous speeds are not included with BBT Lite. Those features are available with our higher-tier residential plans.
Is there a data cap?
No. BBT Lite includes uncapped data, so you can stream, browse, and connect without worrying about limits.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No contract is required. You can cancel your service at any time.
