Alpine Humane Society receives check from BBT.

The annual Viva BBT celebration brought the community together for a day of BBQ, music, and connection — and this year, it also brought meaningful support for a local cause. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, BBT employees, and community members, the event raised $1,000 for the Alpine Humane Society.

Since 1982, the Alpine Humane Society has worked to improve the lives of animals in Brewster County. Over the years, AHS has funded shelter upgrades, built Kokernot Dog Park, provided warm beds for every dog at the municipal shelter, and supported spay, neuter, vaccination, and adoption programs. Their efforts also include transporting dogs to out-of-state rescues and creating enrichment spaces for play and socialization.

The funds raised at Viva BBT will help AHS continue this important work, directly benefiting animals in the Alpine area. BBT thanks everyone who joined in making the event a success and encourages the community to support the Alpine Humane Society through donations, volunteering, or visiting the AHS Thrift Store.
